Nokia 7370 ReviewNokia 7370 Review - The Nokia 7370 is an attractive and fashionable swivel phone from Nokia's L'Amour line of designer phones. The unique spring-loaded swivel design can be rotated to reveal a concealed 21 button keypad - I like the affect it gives.

The Nokia 7370 is also relatively light at 104 grams - but when it comes to color there's only two choices: Warm Amber (cream & brown) and Coffee Brown (dark brown colors). Both colors include intricate floral patterns painted in different places on the 7370.

Although it's clear that much focus has been placed on the aesthetic and design of the Nokia 7370 - there's still plenty of features undernearth theNokia 7370 Review hood worth mentioning. The Nokia 7370 has wireless Bluetooth 2.0 support as well as USB for easy data transfer. An Edge connection should also give you decent speeds when browsing the web on the 7370.

The Nokia 7330 features a 240 x 320 pixel TFT LCD display that shows a rich 262k colors. Overall, the screen is nice, bright, and easy to work with.

The included headphones give good quality audio from the built-in FM radio with Visual Radio support. The Nokia 7370 is a tri-band GSM 900/1800/1900 MHz. Since I'm in the US, support for the much used 850 band would have been much appreciated on the 7370.

Nokia 7370 ReviewThe integrated 1.3 megapixel camera is able to take pics up to 1280 x 960 resolution. You can choose from up to 3 different levels of JPEG quality. There's also digital zoom and exposure levels are adjustable. The Nokia 7370 also shoots video at 15 FPS at resolutions of 176 x 144 or 128 x 96.

You might have trouble storing a decent amount of video with only 10 MB of internal memory built into the Nokia 7370. I would have like to see a bit more memory from a phone of this nature. A 700mAh battery fuels the Nokia 7370 for up to 4 hours of talk time. Standby is a good 270 hours (10 days+). This kind of battery life is relatively average compared to other phones.

Overall, the Nokia 7370 is an attractive phone with a unique design and a decent list of features. Users have experienced slowness with loading themes, and the small amount of memory doesn't help either. The Nokia 7370 has mastered the aesthetic aspects, but functionality is considered to be average when compared to the latest phones on the market.

Nokia N800 Review

January 20, 2007 on 9:22 pm | In Nokia Internet Tablet Reviews | No Comments

Nokia N800Nokia N800 Review - Recently Nokia let loose the Nokia N800 Internet Tablet - an updated version of the Nokia 770, so they are naturally very similar in many ways.

On first impression, this is definately a great looking device that I can see as being useful to have. The Internet has really exploded made it into homes worldwide - the N800 makes the web that much more accessible and easy to use. The Nokia N800 supports Wi-Fi B/g as well as Bluetooth 2.0. Connect to the internet through any Wi-Fi hotspot, or via your Bluetooth enabled cellphone.

Nokia N800 ReviewI like the idea of surfing the web anywhere I want with this device, the display is one of the reasons why. The Nokia N800 features a high-quality 800 by 480 pixel touchscreen. It's nice a comfortable to operate and hold. It's a flat 208 grams, so it's easy to manage.

As you can see, the N800 has no keyboard. Nokia developers worked smart to make it so the Nokia N800 needs no keyword. If you select the keyboard icon with the stylus, it will reveal an on-screen keyboard specifically for use with the stylus. If you've misplaced your stylus and need to type a message, selecting the keyboard icon with your fingers will reveal an on-screen keyboard more appropriate for typing with your hands. A simple feature, yet very very helpful.

One of the upgrades the N800 has over the 770 is the inclusion of a web cam, mainly for video calls. This cam extends from the top left of the N800 in the form of a little retractable arm. It can be twisted up and changed to look front or back.

The N800 has a whopping 200 MB of integrated storage - more than enough to store hours of multimedia. There's also dual SD memory card support, for even more memory.Nokia N800 Review

When it comes to software, the Nokia N800 comes with Opera 8 for browsing the web, plus support for Flash 7 for multimedia. It also comes with e-mail plus instant message applications - there's also support for Internet radio stations.

The Nokia N800 supports a wide assortment of multimedia file formats: MP3, WMA, AVI, AAC, MPEG-4, plus Real Networks' Real Audio & Video.

The N800 has about 10 days of standby battery life, and about 5 to 6 hours of browsing time.

Nokia N800 ReviewI think the Nokia N800 has a reasonable price at $399. It was released around the same time as the Apple iPhone ($499+) for a full $100 less. The improvements of the Nokia N800 over the N770 are more than cosmetic, they are changes that help function and useability. The Nokia N800 is definitely the latest device worth checking out.
