Nokia 5200 Review - Nokia 5200 has similar looks to Nokia 5300 XpressMusic and is one of the most desirable mobile phone for the youngsters. Nokia has blended the design and features in this phone to meet the demands of a new section of users, offering a fresh and trendy experience. This phone was launched at the same time as Nokia 5300 with a difference. There are two main differences between these two phones, the display and the camera. Nokia 5200 measures 92.4 x 48.2 x 20.7 mm and has a weight of 104 grams. It is a GSM handset, operating on 900/1800/1900MHz GSM frequency bands.
The Nokia 5200 is a slide-opening phone and looks much like Nokia 6111. For camera and radio, Nokia 5200 has two dedicated keys at the side, which may be easily accessed and has a smooth 5-way navigation key that works nicely. You will find the volume key on the right side of the phone and this key doubles up as the 4x zoom key when the VGA camera is switched on. The video camera has 176 x 144 pixels resolution and shoots at the rate of 15 frames per second, with video capture and playback features. The camera is on the back of the phone for taking photos.

The TFT display of this phone is not as good as you find in Nokia 5300 and has a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels with 262,144 colours. The music button in Nokia 5200 could be found on the side of the phone and is used for switching on the MP3 player or the radio. Nokia 5200 has a microSD slot and the disadvantage is that, you need to open the back lid of the phone to reach the slot. The slot cannot be reached otherwise. As usual with Nokia phones, the power button of Nokia 5200 is located on the top of the handset and you will find the USB port and the charger socket just near the power button. The battery has a stand-by specification of 263 hours and the talk time achieved is 3.2 hours.
Nokia 5200 has GPRS Class 10 and EDGE capabilities, a FM radio and a music player supporting MP3, SpMidi, AAC, AAC+ and enhanced AAC+ formats. It has MP3, video and 64-voice polyphonic ring-tones. It supports all basic features, such as, SMS, MMS, Instant Messaging, email, Alarm clock, Reminders, Stopwatch, Countdown timer, Calculator, Calendar, Notes, etc. The phone uses a XHTML web browser.
The Nokia 5200 could be considered as an alternative to 5300 XpressMusic, depending upon the budget that you have for such a phone. It may be said that Nokia 5200 is an excellent mid-range phone, with some weaknesses. The foremost being the camera and there is no memory card in the sales package, which consists of, the handset, stereo headset, user manual and the battery charger. However, Nokia 5200 is a user-friendly handset in a compact design with good music capabilities.

Nokia 5500 Review - The Nokia 5500 Sport belong's to Nokia's Active Line of mobile phones. It's wonderfully durable, with plenty of rubber and steel for protection. The Nokia 5500 also resists water and liquid damage with a highly compacted design. Considering the great durability, the overall weight for the 5500 is suprisingly low at 103 grams.
The Nokia 5500 clearly caters to the sport crowd by including sports tracking capabilities like a stopwatch, calories burned tracker, as well as a steps calculator.
The display on the Nokia 5500 is ok at 208x208 pixels. The Nokia 5500 also supports Bluetooth 2.0, infrared, as well as USB connectivity. EDGE is also supported.

On the back of the phone you'll find a 2 megapixel cam. The camera supports resolutions as high as 1600x1200 pixels - the phone also has video recording capabilities in 176x144 resolution.
The Nokia 5500 has a great 64 MB of built in memory. If this isn't enough, memory is easily expanded with a microSD card.
There's an integrated music player in the Nokia 5500 that supports a wide variety of different music formats: AMR, MP3, AAC, eAAC, and WMA. We found the included HS-29 headphones to give pretty reasonable audio quality. The battery life on the 5500 is decent - it runs for up to ten hours when playing songs. Talk time is around 4 1/2 hours and standby is at a good 12 days.
Overall the Nokia 5500 is great for it's sturdiness, but has a screen on the smaller side for a smartphone. The wireless Bluetooth connectivity along with the durability factor makes the Nokia 5500 phone ideal for athletes who don't mind the small screen.
