Nokia 7380 Review - Nokia 7380 is one of the more fashionable phones introduced in the market by Nokia. It looks like a fancy compact mirror at the first glance. It does not have an antenna or a keypad and in no way it looks like a mobile phone. The phone uses circular spinner for dialling and sending text messages. The phone has a mirror finish, with a copper brown and ivory look-like finish, which makes the phone very appealing. More-over, it has an orange L'Amour designer tag on the right side. The SIM card is held in a slot found at the left spine of the phone in a drawer like compartment. The mic, the charger and the headset ports, and a wrist-strap slot are found at the bottom part of the phone.

The camera lens and the flash in Nokia 7380 is located at the back of the phone, which has a resolution of 2.0 mega pixels. The camera takes good snapshots of landscapes in good sunlight, but it is not very impressive when it is used in a dark environment and in crowded scenes, such as, bars. Nokia 7380 has very few settings in the camera. The recorded video has high and low resolutions of 176x144 and 160x120 respectively The 4x zoom can be activated by turning on the main dial control of the phone.
The 700 mAh BL-8N battery of the phone is integrated into the phone itself. The manufacturer's specification mentions that it has a 240 hour stand-by time and has up to 3 hours of talk time. The 65K TFT display screen of Nokia 7380 measures 16x30 mm and has a resolution of 104x208 pixels. The display shows up to 4 texts and one information bar. Due to the position of the display, all soft keys are placed at the right of the phone in a vertical column.
Nokia 7380 has a simplified media player. On opening a media file, you can either listen from your ear phones or the in-built speaker of the phone. Names of the music played are not displayed. There is no track list available in the phone and a separate menu item contains the equaliser settings. The phone has an internal memory of 50 MB, shared by the call melody files, the photos, etc., and does not feature any external memory. Nokia 7380 features a FM radio and allow 20 FM stations to be saved along with text names for them. The radio can be played through the phone speaker, but is better heard with a headphone, which doubles as an antenna. A stereo headset is included in the package when you buy the phone.
Nokia 7380 features all the basic functions, such as, SMS, MMS, organiser, alarm clock, notes, etc. The phone supports GPRS and WAP-browser version 2.0 is used and allows XHTML pages. Nokia 7380 has a Dictaphone that allows 60 minutes of speech recording and also works in a talk mode. The number of records is limited by the memory available.

Nokia 7370 Review
January 21, 2007 on 3:00 am | In Nokia 7xxx Reviews | No Comments
Nokia 7370 Review - The Nokia 7370 is an attractive and fashionable swivel phone from Nokia's L'Amour line of designer phones. The unique spring-loaded swivel design can be rotated to reveal a concealed 21 button keypad - I like the affect it gives.
The Nokia 7370 is also relatively light at 104 grams - but when it comes to color there's only two choices: Warm Amber (cream & brown) and Coffee Brown (dark brown colors). Both colors include intricate floral patterns painted in different places on the 7370.
Although it's clear that much focus has been placed on the aesthetic and design of the Nokia 7370 - there's still plenty of features undernearth the
hood worth mentioning. The Nokia 7370 has wireless Bluetooth 2.0 support as well as USB for easy data transfer. An Edge connection should also give you decent speeds when browsing the web on the 7370.
The Nokia 7330 features a 240 x 320 pixel TFT LCD display that shows a rich 262k colors. Overall, the screen is nice, bright, and easy to work with.
The included headphones give good quality audio from the built-in FM radio with Visual Radio support. The Nokia 7370 is a tri-band GSM 900/1800/1900 MHz. Since I'm in the US, support for the much used 850 band would have been much appreciated on the 7370.
The integrated 1.3 megapixel camera is able to take pics up to 1280 x 960 resolution. You can choose from up to 3 different levels of JPEG quality. There's also digital zoom and exposure levels are adjustable. The Nokia 7370 also shoots video at 15 FPS at resolutions of 176 x 144 or 128 x 96.
You might have trouble storing a decent amount of video with only 10 MB of internal memory built into the Nokia 7370. I would have like to see a bit more memory from a phone of this nature. A 700mAh battery fuels the Nokia 7370 for up to 4 hours of talk time. Standby is a good 270 hours (10 days+). This kind of battery life is relatively average compared to other phones.
Overall, the Nokia 7370 is an attractive phone with a unique design and a decent list of features. Users have experienced slowness with loading themes, and the small amount of memory doesn't help either. The Nokia 7370 has mastered the aesthetic aspects, but functionality is considered to be average when compared to the latest phones on the market.
