Nokia 6102 Review - With the latest Nokia 6101/6102, Nokia has developed an impressive flip style phone offering a decent selection of mid-range features.

The Nokia 6101 is compact and relatively light in weight, weighing in at around 95 grams (about 3.41 ounces). The weight alone makes this phone very easy to handle. A triband phone, the Nokia 6101 supports 850/1800/1900.

On the front of the Nokia 6101 you'll find a 1.2 inch external display that shows the current date, time, signal strength, battery charge, and photographic caller ID when someone calls you.

The Nokia 6101 has support for MP3 ringtones, but a mere 8 ringtones come standard so you'll want to download some more ringtones. You can also add a personal touch to your Nokia 6101 with custom wallpapers and screensavers.

The internal display has a 128 x 160 resolution and has the ability to display 65k colors.

The phonebook has room for 500 names, which you can assign up to 5 numbers, 3 addresses, and other notes to each name. You'll also find other standard features like txt and media messaging, an alarm clock, calculator, and more.

There's infrared support but no Bluetooth, which is expected for a mid-ranged mobile like this. You'll also find a useful speakerphone.

The 0.3 megapixel VGA camera attached to the Nokia 6101 takes medicore quality shots when comparing with similar phones. Unfortunately, there's no zoom or flash, which we would have found useful.

There's also video recording capabilities, which can record video with sound, up to 15 seconds in length. There's not a whole lot of video recording room to play around with, though. In total, there's only about 4 and a half MB available.

The Nokia 6101 also features an integrated FM radio, but you'll need a headset for reception. For some reason the phone doesn't have an antenna.

A nice plus for the Nokia 6101 is the talk time. The spec sheet reports up to 4 hours, but users have reported 7+ hours of talk time. Standby time is also fantastic at 14 days.
