Nokia 6103 Review
Nokia 6103 Review - Nokia 6103 is a version, which is an improvement over the popular Nokia phone 6101. Although Nokia 6101 and 6102 have been specially released for T-Mobile and Cinguar respectively, these are two successful releases from Nokia had to face stiff competition from the ultra-thin trends of the Motorola-dominated clamshell market. Nokia 6103 retains the same compact size and easy-to-operate, yet has an updated modern look. Nokia 6103 is an improvement over 6101, adding the convenience of Bluetooth technology. The phone measures 85 by 45 by 24mm and weighs 97 grams.

Nokia 6103 has a short, contoured and chubby design look with a stubby antenna at the top, which fits into the hand more comfortably. It has a clamshell design, and as you flip it open, you find a five-way directional pad that is used for menu navigation. The keyboard has large keys, which are comfortable to be used for speedy text messaging. There are two rockers at both the sides of the phone, the right one is used for push-to-talk feature while the left one is used for volume.
Nokia 6103 operates on GSM 850/1800/1900 network frequency bands, and offers Bluetooth and Infrared connectivity. The phone has a black-lined silver exterior, with a mini external display, having 4k colour, which mainly displays incoming and basic information, such as, battery level, signal strength, etc. Just above the display you will find the 0.3 mega-pixel VGA camera, which is activated by a dedicated key situated at the right edge of the phone. The camera captures photos up to 640 x 480 pixels in size. In addition to this mini external display, the phone has an internal display panel, which supports 65,536 colours, having a resolution of 128x160 pixels. The Infrared port lies near the camera key.
The Nokia 6103 does not have a music player and the only audio playback is its FM radio. The sound quality is good. An integrated speakerphone is located at the top of the phone and the Pop-port is situated at the bottom. An outlet, which is also used for charging the phone, doubles up as your headphone input, with the port automatically recognising the accessory that has been attached.
The phone offers features like, an alarm clock, calendar, calculator, timer, stopwatch, notes, to-do list and a voice recorder, besides the basic functions such as, email, SMS, MMS, etc. The phone allows loading of third-party applications and games, since it operates on J2ME. The phone can be connected to a PC through a USB cable, but unfortunately this cable does not come along with the package.
