Nokia 6682 Review - Nokia 6682 is one of the most stylish and featured mobile phone that has been brought out in the market to-date. It has a magnificent 1.3-megapixel camera, with full Bluetooth capabilities and a music player with crisp audio reception. Nokia 6682 has the characteristic Nokia bulky design, and measures roughly 4.2" by 2.2" by 0.9" and weighs around 4.6 ounces or 25.6 grams. The handset is found to be pretty hefty and is slightly smaller than the previously known heavier handset, Nokia 6600.

The two inch display screen of Nokia 6682 list one of the main attractions that Nokia has brought in their mobile phones. It has rich colour images, with plenty of details on the phone's 262,000 colour LCD. Unfortunately, the screen of Nokia 6682 is hardly visible in direct sunlight. The phone features easy-to-use five way mouse, couple of quite large size soft keys, and text entry key, dedicated to let the user toggle between predictive text, symbol, and alpha modes. The phone has a rectangular shape, has a back light and a gray sturdy keypad. The numeric keypads are way too small for any user and has thin wedge, which makes it difficult to tap.

Nokia 6682 does not have dedicated controllers as desired. It is difficult to increase or decrease the volume as you talk over the phone, with the absence of a rocker volume control at any of the sides of the handset. Speaker phone button is absent from 6682 and a dedicated shutter release button for the camera is missing, which is generally a feature in camera handsets. There is a voice-command button at the left edge of the phone and a power control to its right. The advantage in Nokia 6682 is the easy-access slot for the 6682's RS-MMC (Reduced Size MultiMediaCard), which is a far better arrangement of hiding the card compared to earlier practices.

The back cover of the Nokia 6682 slides to expose the 4.5mm camera lens and an LED flash. It doubles as a video recorder, which plays back an hour long recorded movie. This playback has a resolution from 128x96 to 176x144, and includes night mode recording. As you open the lens cover, the phone automatically switches on to the camera mode. There is no arrangement for self portraits. The ear-bud style headset of the phone is nicely designed that hangs around your neck. It has a thick tangle-resistant cord, while the headset uses a proprietary connector rather than the usual ones found in such headsets.

The features of Nokia 6682 include the basic functions, such as, a calendar and an address book, a speakerphone, voice-dialling memos. The speakerphone can only be switched on once when you have placed a call. The phone has all the features of receiving and sending email, WAP and SMS. IT supports EDGE, which is a GSM technology, enabling a faster reliable data transmission.
