Nokia 9300 Review - With the help from partners like Cingular and BlackBerry RIM, the Nokia 9300 Communicator is shooting to be the phone of choice for businesses everywhere.There's two different versions of the Nokia 9300 available, depending on where you live. One is a triband phone that includes the well-accepted 850 band for U.S. customers (850/1800/1900). The other is more compatible with networks in Europe and Asia (900/1800/1900).

The ergonomical Nokia 9300 flips open to reveal a full computer-like keyboard. You'll find typing text on the keyboard relatively easy to get used to. Viewing everything on a 65k color screen is easy on the eyes, too. Once you really get going on the keyboard, you'll really appreciate it as it's much faster than other traditional ways of putting text into your phone.

You'll also find key calling features that make the Nokia 9300 perfect for business. There's 5-way conference calling ability and a simple to use speaker phone, among others. Standard Bluetooth connectivity is included, which is nice if you like the hands-free convenience of a Bluetooth headset. Infrared connectivity is also supported.

Support for e-mail clients isn't an issue with the Nokia 9300. There's support for IMAP4, POP3, SMTP, SyncML as well as optional BlackBerry Connect.

Data transfer and web browsing with the Nokia 9300 is a breeze on Cingular's EDGE network, known to be the largest and fastest wireless data network in the US. The 9300 boasts 80 MB of built-in memory to store downloaded files, music, and e-mail messages. If you need more, expand with the 2 GB optional MMC card.

The Nokia 9300 is available in Cingular stores, authorized Cingular dealers, and at Cingular's website. You can currently get the phone at a retail price of $299.99 on a 2 year contract with a $50 mail in rebate. You also have the choice of hooking the Nokia 9300 up to the BlackBerry unlimited data plan, which is around $45.
