Nokia N95 Review - The Nokia N95 has been one of the most talked-about additions to the N series line, and for good reason. When the Nokia N95 was first designed, you can easily tell that Nokia put a lot of emphasis and focus on the feature assortment. While style isnt ignored, the features that the N95 boasts are definitely worth mentioning.
The Nokia N95 is a smart phone, which has a two-way slider design. It has a 5 mega pixel auto-focus camera, supports integrated GPRS, WiFi, HSPDA, 150MB of internal memory, and a MicroSD slot. The phone can be used in two ways. While sliding the dial pad down enables you to make calls, sliding it up exposes the dedicated media keys, when the 2.6 2.6-inch QVGA screen is automatically converted into a landscape mode.
The Nokia N95 has been dubbed as the smallest multi-media computer and its never short in features of a mobile phone. It is a quad band 3G flip mobile phone, having a built-in music player, a FM radio with 3D stereo speakers. The music player supports MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+ & WMA music formats. The music player can be used with the slide down position of the phone, which allows the user to view their music information in the landscape mode.

It has a 2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0, and 40GB of memory in addition to a Micro SD slot that accepts up to 2GB cards. For the first time, Nokia has used Carl Zeiss optics in designing the camera in Nokia N95. There are different photo gallery and blogging systems, where images and videos could be uploaded.
The Nokia N95 can record videos at a resolution of 30 frames per second and has digital image stabilisation while recording. It also features video calling with the screen in the landscape mode and supports video streaming. The Nokia N95 measures 99mm x 53mm x 19mm, weighing 120 g. The battery has a stand-by time of 8.75 days and has a talk time of 2.5 and 3.5 hours for GSM and UMTS respectively. The main TFT display of the phone is 26 inches, with 16 million colours, having a resolution of 240W320. The phone supports EDGE, Bluetooth A2DP, Infra-red, Java games, polyphonic sound, etc and also features the basic functions, such as, SMS. MMS, EMS, email, phonebook, calendar, contacts, etc. The most striking aspect of N95 is that has GPS navigation feature, supporting display of maps of more than hundred countries. Nokia N95 provides exchange of high speed data through HSDPA. The user has an advanced internet experience on the N95, with the phone supporting XHTML & HTML Internet browsing.
The power management of N95 comprises of a BL-5F battery of 950mAH, with talk time up to 190 minutes in WCDMA mode, and 390 minutes in GSM. The stand-by time is up to 233 hours in WCDMA, and 228 hours in GSM operating modes. The operation time may vary, depending upon the access technology used, network configuration of the operator, and use.
The call management in Nokia N95 has advanced address database, with multiple phone numbers and email records against a single name entry, and supports thumbnail pictures of the contact. The N95 features speed dialling, and provide a record of your incoming calls, your dialled calls, and your missed calls. It has auto re-dial, and an optional auto answering system. It supports calling a fixed dialling number, allows conference calls, and has a push-to-talk feature.

Nokia N95 supports wireless LAN connectivity and Universal Plug and Play features, a USB 2.0 pop-port interface, infrared technology, and send/receive images, video clips, graphics, and business cards via Bluetooth wireless technology. The handset supports Java MIDP 2.0 applications, with the facility of downloading Java based applications and games. The phone has a personal information management system (PIM), with advanced features, such as, calendar, contacts, to-C list, and PIM printing. The email client in N95 can be easily set up by help of a wizard, and facilitates transfer of PIM information to other compatible Nokia devices.
The XpressPrint feature in Nokia N95, allows you to transfer photographs directly to printer gold kiosk. This can be done via the Bluetooth technology in N95, the memory card, and wire-less LAN connected to the USB port of the printer. This is a built-in application, and no installation is required. The XpressShare feature in the handset, allows easy sharing of the captured photographs in the phone. The handset also has a two way video calling facility, including the feature to share one way video live and the other sharing a video clip.
